Parable 133 - Parables of Steel by Robert Dean Steel

Parable 133 - Parables of Steel by Robert Dean Steel

Dale was driving down the street when a black SUV pulled out in front of him.  He slammed on the brakes as fast as he could but it was too late, he hit the SUV on the back driver's side.  The impact spun the SUV around and Dale hit the curb with his car and plowed into a nearby fence.  After Dale had collected his thoughts, he opened the door of his smash in car and went to see if the driver of the SUV was alright.  As he approached the the SUV, the driver opened the door and climbed out.  She immediately blamed Dale for the accident.  Dale had a decision to make right then.  Would he answer this person with the same intensity or calmly speak?  Dale chose to remain calm.  He asked the driver if she was o.k. which she was.  Then Dale said he would call the police and let them sort out whose fault it was and they then would exchange insurance information.  The woman settled down and Dale won the day.  Answer a folly according to their folly and you will be as foolish as them.  Remember a soft answer turns away wrath.
