Parable 104 - Parables of Steel by Robert Dean Steel

Parable 104 - Parables of Steel by Robert Dean Steel

The young boy had just climbed up on the kitchen counter to get himself a bowl for his cereal.  The step dad walked into the kitchen and saw him on the counter.  He said, gruffly, "What are you doing on the counter."  Before the boy could answer his mom yelled from another part of the house, "Leave him alone."  She then came into the kitchen and a fight ensued.  The fight escalated to the point that before the end of the day the family was told they were leaving.  Within a week the mother and children move to another part of the community.  The young boy thought he had caused the breakup.  Later the family reconciled and life returned to normal.  It was not until years later that the boy, now a young man realized that he had nothing to do with the break up.  There were many other underlying problems.  Often it takes a small issue to expose bigger problems.  Do not however let your anger at another injure an innocent person who often gets caught in the middle.
