We have been talking about how to discipline. The Bible says in Prov 22:6 that we are to train a child in the way they should go and the promise is that when they are older they will not depart from it. The secret of discipline is loving boundaries. Also in discipline the issue of respect is important. When discipline is applied it must always fit the crime. Let me explain you must know the different between childish behavior of willful defiance.
Childish behavior for example is when a child spills the milk by accident or getting excited damages something by mistake. Willful defiance is when a child stamps their feet. throws a toy on purpose or shouts no to a request you asked them to do.
Childish behavior you can ignore or corrected by lovingly action. Willful defiance must be met by strong loving discipline. Consequences to willful defiance must meet the crime. A little piece of advice when you choose to correct willful defiance you better win. Remember you are the parent and they are the child. You are responsible for them. Do not abdicate your responsibility. You must break their will in this matter. No one likes a spoiled brat. They must know what they have done and why. Whatever form of discipline you do must be strong, effective and complete.

What is the reason we discipline our children? First, you must help your children to learn to inhibit and restrict their impulses because left to themselves they can hurt themselves and others. Next helping to them to develop respect for you as a parent is a critical factor in child management. It is essential for them to have respect for authority figures such as yourself and others that will enter their lives later.
The reason you discipline in love and set boundaries is that you want your child to accept your values. Remember though you must be worthy of their respect when they are young by respecting them enough to discipline and set boundaries for them with love.

We are going to spend some time in the next little while learning about proper discipline. Teaching and responsibility for discipline falls directly on the parents. If you don't discipline in love you will have a child with no boundaries and this is a recipe for disaster. James Dobson wrote, "Children must learn to inhibit behavior and restrict their impulses. This is the core of Discipline.

East from West

Aug 22 – East from West – Psalm 103:12

      This is one of the most wonderful and powerful verses in the Bible.  It is a promise without

Comparison.  David says that as far as the east is from the west.  Now this is not a round line but a

straight line.  It is an infinite line.  God takes our sins, iniquities and transgressions and removes them

from us.  He will never bring them up again.  When we confess our sins He is faithful and just to

forgive our sins.  What a great promise.  What a wonderful savior and God.  This should make you shout

for joy.  You should clap your hands and dance before the Lord.  You sins are forgiven.  You have been

redeemed.  The Lord will never exploit, or mention your sins again.  They are in His sea of forgetfulness.

So today remember if your sins are exposed to you it is either you or the devil who brings it up.  God

Looks at your through rose colored glasses.  He looks at you through the blood of Jesus Christ.  Though

Your sins be as scarlet they will be white as snow.  You are forgiven and release.  Live in that reality

Chosen

It is the weekend and here is your thought to ponder. In Eph 1:4 it states, For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love. God loves you and this is such a great thought. His love gives you all the benefits of heaven. It is also through His love that we touch our world today. So today be a blessing of love to your world by walking in love.

How High

Aug 21 – How High - Psalm 103:11

     David then uses the heaven as a metaphor for the love of God.  The heavens are unlimited in depth

and height.  They cannot be measured.  This is the same as the love of God.  Paul prayed that the church

would be and in some manner to understand the height, depth, width and breath of the love of God. 

This is of course is impossible because God is unlimited and so is His love.  One of the benefits of having

A relationship with God is being in love with Him.  Before we even knew Him He loved us.  He loved us

So much that He gave us His very best which was His Son Jesus Christ to be our sacrifice for sin and to

Bring us back into relationship with Him.

     The Love of God is wonderful and mysterious.  He changes us forever.  It takes us to the highest

Place.  It will never leave us.  Love is who God is and He wants us to love in the same manner.  If we love

We are complete.  The condition of this love is fearing Him.  Respecting Him for who He is.  Knowing you

Did not deserve this love but embracing it and living in its reality.  Let us do that today.

Thursday Thought

It is Thursday and here is your thought. In Eph 1:3 Paul writes, Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. Now think of this, you have all your need in Christ Jesus. Every need will be supplied and every desire touched. God will use you in ways your never dreamed possible. This is all because of Jesus Christ. So today give each moment to Him and release these to others in your world. remember you are a channel of blessing for the Lord to others today.

Grace and Peace

t is the middle of the week and here is your thought to ponder. In Eph 1:2, Paul states, Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.Paul wants us today to walk in the grace of God which is the complete victory of the Lord. Secondly he wants you to walk in peace, That means no strife or war in your life. It is the grace of God that keeps you and the peace of God that makes you thrive. So today have victory and thrive. Live your destiny and live in God's total abundant life.

Tuesday Thought

It is Tuesday and here is your thought to ponder. In Eph 1:1, it says, Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God,
To God’s holy people in Ephesus,[a] the faithful in Christ Jesus. Paul relates that when we give our lives to Jesus Christ we should found doing two things. We are to do the will of God and be faithful. If we do these things we will be a blessing to our world. So today be faithful to the will of God whatever it may be and be faithful. Both can be found in the Bible. Read the Bible and you will know how to do the will of God and be faithful.

God is Good

It is Monday and this is your thought for today. In Psalm 107:1, is states O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. David reminds us two things. First the Lord is good. In fact God is good all the time so you can trust Him for His goodness to come to you. Next His mercy endures forever. That means that you will have His mercy when you call on Him every time. So today remember God is going to good and merciful to you today. Great Thought.

The Benefits

Aug 16 – The Benefits – Psalm 103:3-4

     David has spoken to his soul and now He will list in this verse four benefits of serving the Lord.  First,

He forgives all our sins.  There are not too many sins or large sins that cannot be forgiven.  1 John 1:9,

States that if we confess our sins that the Lord is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and cleanse

Us from all unrighteousness.  Salvation belongs to the Lord.  Jesus came to give us forgiveness of sin and

Abundant life. 

     He heals all our diseases.  Mental, emotional, physical, intellectual.  All kinds and all types of sickness

Will be healed.  By His stripes we are healed and whole.  From the top of our head to the tips of our

toes.  Healing is the children’s bread.  In fact none of the diseases of the land are to come upon us. 

What a great promise.

     He will redeem our life from the pit.  The reality is that we were heading to hell.  It was our final

Destination but God is His mercy, love and grace plucked us out of the pit.  He also rescued us from a pit

We created ourselves.  Our sins separated us from God but He rescued us.  Lastly, He crowns us with

Love and compassion.  He gives us love and compassion and in turn we give it to others.  Love and

Compassion are our crown.  These wonderful benefits are ours today and tomorrow.  Let us live and

Share these with others.

Friday Thought

It is the weekend and here is your thought. In Num 23:19 it states, God is not human, that he should lie,
not a human being, that he should change his mind.
Does he speak and then not act?
Does he promise and not fulfill? So God will do exactly what He says He will do. You have the promises of God in your life to today ask the Lord and see Him touch your life and others with His promises and victory.

Thursday Thought

It is Thursday and here is a through to ponder. In Jer 29:11 is states, For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. God has great thoughts toward you. You are on His mind. He has plans to prosper you and give you hope and a future. God wants to bless you. No only that but He has abundant life for you. So today step into God's plans and be blessed. Also take time to bless others. You are stepping in victory today.

Remain the same

Aug 14 – Remain the same -  Psalm 102:27-28

     The psalmist has been talking about the consistency of God.  We learn that through the Bible the Lord

will be the same.  He will deal with you today as He did in the past.  He will also be there with you in the

future.  Heb 13:8, states that that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.  We live in a

world that seems to change at every wind of cultural or special interest group.  What was wrong before

has now become right.  What is evil has now become good.  The one constant thing that does not

change is the Lord or His word.  You can stand on them.  The psalmist also says that the years of the Lord

will never end. 

     He then states that as we lived in the presence of the Lord so will our children.  This is a promise of

Household salvation.  They will be established before the Lord.  Now it is important that we train our

Children in the way they should go and the promise is that when they are old they will not depart from

It.  Household salvation, consistency and promises.  A great blessing for today and in the future.

Healed

It is the middle of the week and here is your thought to ponder. In Is 53:5 is states, But he was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
and by his wounds we are healed. That means we have been healed and set free. So today claim your healing and victory. remember Jesus did this for you and why should you stay in bondage. Also if someone need healing and prayer offer it to them in Jesus name and see them get the victory as well.

It is written

Aug 13 – It is written – Psalm 102:18

     The psalmist has a wish and desire.  What He has written will be a record for future generations.  The

Bible is God’s written account of His dealing with mankind.  It is a picture of His character and nature.  It

Is a written record of His plan of salvation.  Man broke his relationship with God and God restored it

through Jesus Christ.  The Bible records earth’s beginning and end.  It tells of how Israel began and how

it will end.  In the beginning God g=created the heavens and the earth.  In the end He will create a new

heaven and earth. 

     This psalmist is a witness of the goodness of God in this generation and the generations to come. 

Mankind needs salvation and God has provided it.  The Bible is a book written about the human

condition and why we are as we are.  It is also a book of hope. 

Tuesday Thought

It is Tuesday and here is your thought to today. In 1 Cor 3:16 it states, Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst? Paul tells his readers that as the temple of the Holy Spirit we have the presence and reality of God living inside us. We are different from those around us. We represent Him in our world. That means we think, talk and live differently. We are bearers of righteousness, peace and joy. What a thought. You can touch others for God in your world. So today remember who you are and who you represent. What a great privilege and responsibility.

The Lord will Rebuild

Aug 12 – The Lord will Rebuild – Psalm 102:15-17

     The psalmist continues telling his audience that the Lord will rebuild Zion.  His cares and keeping is

Consistent with His promise to Abraham.  The Lord will always keep and help His people.  This is grace

And love in action.  He will appear in His glory.  The Lord will show His character and essence in every

Situation.  God will never waver in how He deals with us.  Truth, righteousness and justice is who God is. 

From Genesis to Revelation you see the consistency of God.

     He will respond to the prayer of the destitute.  Jesus said when you are hungry and thirsty for God

you will be filled.  The Lord will never despise or refuse the cry and prayer of a sincere heart.  If you seek

Him you will find Him if you search for Him with all your heart.  The secret is seeking.  Jesus said, knock

and the door will be open to you.  Seek and you will find.  Ask and it will be given unto you.  Many times

I have heard words where God has told us to draw near and He will draw near to us.  When you

in the middle of a crisis, problem, trial or situation. Cry out to God and He will never despise your

inquiry.  He will answer and minister to your need.  George Mueller found this true in 60 years of helping

orphans and you will as well.  Remember God is no respecter of person.  He will deal with all the same

way.    

Monday Thought

It is Monday and here is your thought. In Isaiah 41:10 is says, So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. You have Nothing to fear today because the Lord is with you. You do not have to be in confusion for the Lord has all things under control So as you go through each moment this day the Lord will keep you and save you. What a great thing. So be in victory today.

Empty

Empty - Three

     The Lord reminds all who do not know him have three characteristics.  First, they are in a state of confusion.  They do not know which way they are going.  They do not know what life is about and they do not know where they will end up.  Confusion has two defintions.  It is lack of understanding and uncertainty.  Confusion is the state of being bewildered or unclear in one's mind about something.  Mankind without God is this way.  God is not the author of this but satan is.  Nothing is in harmony with the ultimate purpose of God.  The carnal mind is at war with God and spiritual things are foolisness.  Only the Lord can bring order, harmony and purpose.
     Without the Lord their is emptiness.  You have a void in your life.  Blaise Pascal calls this a vacuum, a place of nothingness that only God can fill.  Paul states in Rom 7:18 that in our flesh no good thing dwells.  Man is untterly lost without hope and help without the Lord.  Job states that who can bring something clean from the unclean.  The Lord is mighty to save and wishes to fill that emptiness and void in your life.
     Without the Lord there is only darkness.  There can be nothing but darkness until the light is sent.  Jesus is the light of the world.  Allow Him to come into you life and bring truth and light.  We will remain in darkness until we allow the light of the Lord to shine forth in our life.  To be under sin and its power is to be aligned with satan who is known as the prince of darkness. 
     Today allow the word and power of God to be spoken into your life.  Allow God to pull you out of darkness into his marvelous light.  God spoke and light came.  God spoke and things began to form.  God spoke and life came.  This is God's word.  Let Him speak and let His word bring, life, light and truth into your life.

Weekend thought

It is the weekend and here is your thought. In Psalm 147:3, it states, He heals the brokenhearted

and binds up their wounds. What a great promise. When ever you have been hurt or broken the Lord is there to patch you up. He will heal and mend you. It i so wonderful to have divine help. So today stand upon that promise and heal.

Thursday Thought

It is Thursday and here is a thought to ponder in Psalm 75:1 it states, We praise you, God,
we praise you, for your Name is near;
people tell of your wonderful deeds. So David is encouraging people to declare the wonderful deeds of the Lord. To boast of what the Lord has done. When God does something great in your life tell others. This is called a testimony. In Revelation is states that we overcome by the Word of our testimony. So today tell others and become an over comer
