Parable 128 - Parables of Steel by Robert Dean Steel

Parable 128 - Parables of Steel by Robert Dean Steel

They were standing in the store and the husband was disagreeing with his wife's choice of gifts.  She wanted to be generous and he wanted to be practical.  Finally in frustration he threw some money at her and said, "Buy what you want and I will go and look in the nearest hardware store."  He huffed and puffed off in a sour mood.  After he cooled down and walked around he knew how silly the argument was.  Yet he did not go back right away because of his wounded pride.  After what he had decided was an appropriate amount of time he went and found his wife.  She too had felt bad about the fight and they talked it out, made up and remarkably finished their shopping in a way that both felt happy.  Forgiveness begins when one chooses to make a step towards another in the spirit of love.
