In the big cities the subway carry multitudes of people. In each car are men and women sometimes pack in so tight that they are just inches apart. They are so close and yet most are lost in their own little world. So close but so far from knowing anything about each other. No thoughts of each other. No knowledge of what is going in the world of the person next to them. They do not know if the person next to them is in pain, sorrow, peace, joy, defeat or victory. Just people on a train inches apart and yet miles away. Love the Lord with all your heart, soul, mind and strength and love your neighbor as yourself.
