Parable 116 - Parables of Steel by Robert Dean Steel

Parable 116 - Parables of Steel by Robert Dean Steel

Mom and dad came off the plane and were met by their missionary daughter.  It was a wonderful reunion.  After a good night sleep they were informed that they were doing a trip to the capital of the country they were visiting with their daughter's friend who was a former missionary.  On the way to the capital they asked the former missionary why they were no longer serving in that capacity.  They heard of story of disappointment, disillusionment, hurt, unforgiveness and discouragement.  They listened gently and with sympathy.  As the week progress they notice certain inconsistencies in the former missionaries character.  In time they realized that as tragic as the story was, much of what happened was self imposed.  A once bright light had faded into unforgiveness.  Be careful not to blame others when we ourselves might be to blame for has happen to us.  Keep your heart right when things happen because often they are God's way of refining our character.
