Parable 106 - Parables of Steel by Robert Dean Steel

Parable 106 - Parables of Steel by Robert Dean Steel

A young man had just become a Christian and he desperately wanted his friend to become a Christian.  The following Friday night they went for a drive in his friend's half ton truck.  The young man told his friend his story about how the Lord had changed his life.  His friend listened intently.  Then the young man asked his friend if he wanted to be a Christian to which his friend said, "No".  The young man in his zeal asked, "Why not."  Well an argument ensued with the young man insisting his friend get saved and his friend refusing.  As they were approaching a corner in the road.  The friend reach over to the young man's side of the truck, opened the passenger door and as they went around the corner the momentum of going around the corner hurled the young man out of the truck onto the gravel and into a ditch by the side of the road.  His friend drove off waving goodbye.  The young man dusted himself off and took the dirt out of his hair.  He never saw his friend again.  The Kingdom of God is forwarded by careful prayerful evangelism not misdirected zeal.
