Parable 110 - Parables of Steel by Robert Dean Steel

Parable 110 - Parables of Steel by Robert Dean Steel

The two friends were out riding on a motorcycle on a warm summer day.  They had just picked up some chicken dinner at a local food restaurant.  The driver said to his passenger, "Let's ride up that hill and come down."  "Sure," replied the passenger.  Up the hill they roared.  The driver turned the bike around and down the hill they raced.  A small dip in the road sent them into the air and as they flew through the air they hooted with glee.  As they were motoring down the hill they fail to notice a dog running after the bike.  The dog jumped in front of the bike and the driver tried to avoid it.  This caused the bike and its passengers to slide along the pavement.  They tumbled, and slid down the road on their hands and bottoms turning their skin and clothing to shreds.  Finally they stopped.  The driver laid down immediately because he was cut and bruised pretty badly.  The passenger stood up after checking himself out then check the bike out to see how much damage had been down to it.  Soon the ambulance arrived and both were taken to the hospital.  There were no broken bones just cuts and scrapes.  That day both young men learn that eternity is only a moment away and if you live right with the Lord, you will not die wrong.
