Outline of Rehoboam

Rehoboam – The King who acted upon foolish advice.

-  Son of Ammonite princess.

-  Lost 10 tribes because of bad advice.                                                1 Kings 12:1-17

-  Tried to restore Israel but was kept from civil war because of

    advice of the prophet Shemiah.                                                         1 Kings 12:29

-  Became king at 41. 

-  Judah turned away from God to idols under his reign.                         14:22-25

-  Shishak, King of Egypt came and took gold from temple.       14:25-27

-  Warfare between Judah and Israel all his reign.                                  14:29

-  Fortified Judah.                                                                                 2 Chron 5:12

-  Repented of his sin when Shishak attacked.                           1 King 12:13
