Ahab – The Wicked King of Israel

-  Son of Omri and crowned king in 868 B.C.                                      1 Kings 16:29  
-  Built a palace, fortified cities and established the worship of
   Baal.                                                                                                 16:30-33
-  Had word spoken against him by Elijah for his wickedness.               17:3
-  Allow his wife to kill all the prophets and fought a war against
   Syria.                                                                                                Ch 18
-  Husband of Jezebel, wicked Queen of Israel                                      19:1
-  Given advice by a prophet on how to defeat Israel and followed
    It.                                                                                                     20: 2-21
-  Made treaty with Syria and rebuked because of compromise.            20:31-42
-  Got in dispute with Naboth over vineyard.  Jezebel had Naboth
    Killed and Ahab took possession.  He was weak minded and a
    Tool of his wife Jezebel.                                                                    21:1-16
-  Was rebuked for his part in Naboth`s murder.  His death was
    Foretold by Elijah                                                                             21:17-24
-   Was an idolater and a wicked king.                                                 
-  Was spared immediate judgment when he humbled himself.                21:23-28
-  Formed and alliance with Jehoshaphat to regain Ramoth
    Gilead back from the Syrians.  Inquires of the Lord and the
    Prophet Micaiah is summoned, He tells him of his death.                    22:1-18
-  Tries to disguise himself but is wounded and dies on his chariot.         
    His blood is licked off his chariot by the dogs as foretold by
    Elijah                                                                                                22:29-40
