Parables 3 of the Parables of Steel

There was a young family that decided to go to a waterfall not very far from where they live.  Friends had told them it was a easy 30 minutes hike to the falls as long as they followed the trail.  They arrived in the parking lot and unloaded from their van and proceded down the trail.  They followed the trail as mark but somehow they missed a turn and followed another path into the woods.  They did not realize they were lost until it became apparent they were almost a hour into the walk.  They could hear the falls in the distance but they were no closer.  Being inexperienced hikers they decided to cut across country and this just made matters worst.  Finally they stopped and looked around when their two young children complained about being tired and hungry.  They then made two decisions.  First, they prayed and secondly they decided to go back the way they came.  In a short period of time they found the original trail and hiked back to the parking lot where there van was.  Their little escapade in the woods took almost three hours.  They refreshed themselves with some snacks that were in the van and learned a valuable lesson about the outdoors.
The Kingdom of God is the foresight to follow the path God lays before you, never follow short cuts and if you do get lost, pray and go back the way you came to the beginning.
