A Pattern For Life

In 1 Pet 2:21-25, Peter tells us that we have an example to follow and that is the Lord Jesus Christ.  We can pattern our lives after Him.  Jesus never committed any sin or had any deceit in His mouth.  When he was reviled, He never reviled back.  When Christ went through His suffering He uttered no threats but entrusted Himself to the Father.  He bore our sins on the cross that we might live righteously and by His wounds we are healed.  One thing I have noticed in reading the gospels about the Lord Jesus Christ was that He never asked His disciples to do something that He was not willing to do Himself.  Heb 4:15 says that Christ was tempted in all ways as we are but without sin.  I think that this is marvelous.  Christ is our example, so let us pattern our lives after Him and we cannot go wrong.  Your promises today are: Psalm 1:1-3, Psalm 23, Isaiah 40:31, 41:10, 53:5, Zech 4:6, Hab 2:4, 2 Pet 3:18 and 2 Tim 1:7.  Your Insightful Sayings for today are:  Love as if today was your last day and you will have a deposit of love for the future.  Personality, image, talent and skill is what is seen first.  Character is morality, honesty and conscience which can only been seen over time.
