PREACH THE WORD

My message today is for preachers and those who share the word of God.  Many today are either using the internet or AI to get their messages done.  I am not against using these tools in preparation, but they must be the only tool.  The greatest blessing in preaching the word is the unctioning.   Many old-time preachers need it was the anointing of the Holy Spirit.  Getting your message from time spent with God.

One many wrote that in too many places today a bland pulpit is leading to the closing of churches.  Many old-time preachers studied Johnathon Edwards sermon, “Sinners in the hands of an angry God.”  This is a powerful sermon no doubt, but nothing can beat a message God has laid upon your heart.

Being ordain and empowered is the real secret to being an effective preacher.  Next time you prepare for a message look for a God moment where God speaks and you relay what he has said.  Last night I was in a prayer meeting, and the presenter talk about how Jeremiah was in prison ceil and God gave him a message to give to the people.

We need a God moment occasionally, to bring us back on track.  So how does that happen.  Seek the mind of God in sermon preparation.  Pray for the presence of God in your worship service.  Invite people to pray while you are preaching.  Look for the Bible as your ultimate source.  Be sensitive and obedient to the leading of the Holy Spirit before, during and after you deliver the message.  This will make you effective and powerful for God.

ABRAHAM AND LOT

There was a woman who felt led by God to go to Clinton, New Jersey to reach the Jewish community there and her first covert was the well-known evangelist, Morris Cerillo.  When Abraham and Lot went to Canaan, they were very influential there.   One day however there was a dispute between Lot and Abraham over land.  There was not enough for both.  Paul makes it clear in his writing that Christian will have disputes and disagreements from time to time.

When we find ourselves in those times we must demonstrate these attributes.  Be impartial, sincere, love, have Christ as our standard, fervent in grace, and totally unselfish.  Abraham gave Lot the choice of the land and he took the best and Abraham settled for second best, but God blessed that.

Did you know the Bible says that selfishness is with holding something that is needed.  James warns us against doing that.  When we do not meet the needs of others we are being not like Christ.  We must never be indifferent to others.  When we get caught up in greed and covetousness, we become no longer good for anything.  Jesus said when salt gets unsalted it is good for nothing.  Jesus warns us that this creates a wall between us and God.

When are called to help others like Joseph did when the famine hit Egypt.  Abraham in the dispute with Lot gave Lot the best of the land and settled for less but God blessed him.  When you take yourself on the throne of the heart God will bless.

DIRECTION

May I encourage you to not compare yourself to others.  It has been said that comparison is the thief that destroys who we can become.  Especially in your journey of life.  Remember we all have the same beginning, but we are all on a different path.  God gave us a thing to do and we must do only what we can do.  We all have different challenges, and we also choose our ultimate destination.  That is the power of free choice.

Someone else’s success does not mean that you are falling behind.  You were never meant to do what they are doing.  Your time, path and growth are unique.  Peter does encourage us to grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ but even that is different than someone else.

My exhortation for you today is work on being a better version of who God intended you to be than worrying or trying to imitate someone else because you will never be them.  You were called to be who God made you to be.  Remember you have a place in this world.

A PLACE IN THIS WORLD

QUOTES FOR NOV 1, 2026

WISE SAYINGS

The wise know when they put their faith and trust in the Lord.  He will do exactly what He said He would do.  If you assurance is in yourself, you will fail but if you assurance is the Lord you will succeed and prosper.  Prosperity begins with confidence in the Lord.  Health begins with the assurance and confidence that the Lord will keep his promise of health and hope.

Our confidence in the Lord stands on the truth that God’s very nature is love and mercy.  You will never falter, slip or fail when the Lord is holding your hand.  One of greatest assets you have in your life is the confidence of God’s abilities and the talents he gives you.

Many a motivational leader with tell you to rely on yourself.  They are wrong if you rely only on yourself.  However, if you rely of God as well then anything is possible.  If you know that God can do the impossible you are already on the way to a miracle.  When your trust is in God you may stumble and fall but you will never fail.

RETURN

Nov 1 – The Day of Return - Isaiah 66:1-18

People will follow whoever they have chosen to follow.  The righteous will consecrate and purify themselves while the unrighteous will do the opposite.  They will meet their end together with the one they follow.  In simple terms if you follow the Lord, you will go where He is.  If you follow the devil you will end up where He is going.

The Lord because of what is going on and has been panned by manis going to come.  This is a direct prophecy about the Lord Jesus coming.  He will gather people of all nations, language, and they will see His glory.  What an exciting day that will be.  Like the old song says.
