My message
today is for preachers and those who share the word of God. Many today are either using the internet or
AI to get their messages done. I am not
against using these tools in preparation, but they must be the only tool. The greatest blessing in preaching the word
is the unctioning. Many old-time
preachers need it was the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Getting your message from time spent with
God.
One many wrote
that in too many places today a bland pulpit is leading to the closing of churches. Many old-time preachers studied Johnathon
Edwards sermon, “Sinners in the hands of an angry God.” This is a powerful sermon no doubt, but
nothing can beat a message God has laid upon your heart.
Being ordain
and empowered is the real secret to being an effective preacher. Next time you prepare for a message look for
a God moment where God speaks and you relay what he has said. Last night I was in a prayer meeting, and the
presenter talk about how Jeremiah was in prison ceil and God gave him a message
to give to the people.
We need a God
moment occasionally, to bring us back on track.
So how does that happen. Seek the
mind of God in sermon preparation. Pray
for the presence of God in your worship service. Invite people to pray while you are
preaching. Look for the Bible as your
ultimate source. Be sensitive and
obedient to the leading of the Holy Spirit before, during and after you deliver
the message. This will make you
effective and powerful for God.
