Three Days

June 10 - Three days - Rev 11-8-9

Vs 8-9 – Now their dead bodies lie in the street of Jerusalem and it is called Sodom and Egypt because it has rejected the Lord, His Christ and the witnesses.  Sodom is representative of the vile and evil practices of the world.  Egypt represents the worldly system.  Both have bowed to the god of this world and his presentative.  Jerusalem is identified because it is the city in which the Lord Jesus Christ died.
Now the people all over the world shall see their dead body for three days.  Their bodies are left as a reminder of what will happen to all who oppose the beast.  With the advent of television and the internet the entire world will see this event in real time.  This must have been amazing to John as a first century man where communication was basic and crude.  Wireless communication, smart devices and computers will enable the beast to create a worldwide system to monitor and impose his will on the planet.  This scene of the dead bodies will remind all that he has absolute power and authority.
