June 7 - Power of the Witnesses - Pev 11:5
Vs 5- Now these men have the power to bring fire and
judgment upon any one who attacks them.
Now the text says that it comes out of their mouth. This could be literal or symbolically. The ability to do miracles and bring judgment
upon the agents of the satanic trio is a great threat to the world system at
this time. These two individuals will
cause no end of consternation to the forces of hell. The ability to defend and destroy all who
attack with fire shows the importance of this time of judgment. It also illustrates the deadliness of this
conflict. It is life and death. Light and darkness. Truth verses a lie. God verse satan. This is the conflict of the ages with only
one winner. God and God alone. They who attack will not be spared. There will be no compassion, mercy and grace
for the unrighteous. As Elijah brought
judgment on the soldiers of Israel who were sent to arrest him so these
witnesses will be truth, righteousness and judgment on the forces of hell in
whatever form they come.
