Rivers Dry up

 August 12 - River dries up - Rev 16:12

 

Vs 12 – This last judgment is done so that the world prepares for the final confrontation between  God and man.   The Euphrates river has always been the natural border to the holy land.  A survey of more than 100 scholars on this subject was done and 50 believed believe that the kings of the east are the people of the orient.  It has the largest concentration of population on the earth.  We know that modern day Iran, most of the large populations of the Muslim world lies east of the Euphrates. In modern times much of this river has been diverted by dams or irrigation canals for farming and food.  This judgment will dry up the river and make a natural highway for the troops from the east to come for the final battle.  There will no need for bridges and the weapons of modern warfare will be able to roll into the holy land.  It also speaks of nations of the east co-operating for the one goal of the destruction of the middleeast.  The one thing the beast will accomplish will be one world unity for peace and war.  Mankind will be united but for destruction not peace.
