Festering sores

August 4 - Festering sores - Rev 16:2

Vs 2 - The first angel goes and pours out of his bowl on the land.  This is a judgment on the people of the land.  Not only are people going to face this plague of judgment but the land as well.  The Bible says even now the land is groaning for redemption.  This plague will be a pandemic on the people who have the mark of the beast and worship his image.  This is direct judgment on the authority, power and dominion of the antichrist and the image he had put up.  God will not allow any worship accept to Himself.  This alliance between the people and their master will cost each one dearly.  By taking the mark they have sworn control in every area of their life to the antichrist and his system.  They have made him their leader, authority and god.  The consequence of that will be this plague of festering sores, incredible pain but also eternal damnation.  There will be no escaping this judgment because they made the choice.  We all make choices but some carry more consequences than others this one carries an eternal one.  This judgment will distinguish between godly and ungodly.
