 March 9 - Vignettes on Prayer

 

     Today we are looking at Psalm 95:6, which states, “Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.”  Now David is talking about two very important aspects of prayer.  First when you come into prayer you must have an attitude of worship.  You need to remember that you are coming into the very presence of the eternal God.  David secondly talks about the position of prayer.  Come and kneel before the Lord God who is our maker.  God made us and breathed into us the breath of life.  The Bible says in Him we live and move and have our being.  When we pray we should always be aware of who you are communicating with.  Talking to the Lord in prayer is such a privilege.  Think about this you are communing with the author and finisher of life not just faith.  He is the creator of all the universe and He wants to spend time with you today.  What I love about prayer is that the author of the universe has time to spend with me.  No communication gaps.  No drop calls or being put on hold.  So today come bow in worship and kneel before the Lord you God your maker.
