March 15 - Vignettes on Prayer
In Leviticus 20:7-8 we are introduced to Jehovah M'Kaddesh. The meaning of this name is THE LORD WHO SANTIFIES. Consecrate yourselves to me, and be holy, because I am the LORD your God. When we pray we are allowing the one who imputed to us His holiness and sanctification when we got saved to continue to impute to us daily His holiness. We are set apart for holy purposes. We are not like any other. God has given us a task, duty and destiny. We have been set apart. We are walking and talking High Priests for God. In prayer this work is made complete daily. The holy God meets with us and He sanctifies us again for a sin sick world. We shine as lights with holiness and truth. Holiness is a state and place we are living in. We are holy because He is holy. We are the temple of the Holy Spirit. We were bought with a price and we are to glorify God with our bodies. We need to yield to God in every area. We need to present ourselves to God daily and be transformed in mind, spirit and will. This is done through prayer.
