Aug 12 - Vignettes on Prayer
Prayer has several important facets. There should be worship which is an attitude of the heart expressed. It must be with thanksgiving for this is God’s will. Confession of all known sin and self- examination will assure success. Intercession and praying for others is a major factor in prayer. Petition for our needs will always be released because of God’s riches in glory. Prayer requires discipline and high enough priority in our daily life. In some instances fasting is an appropriate compassion in prayer. In certain instances some things can only come out and be broken by fasting. When our prayers go unanswered it could be that we have violated one of the principles of prayer or it is not God’s timing. Prayer is unlimited in scope and power because God is unlimited and all powerful.
