May 21 - Vignettes on Prayer
The secret of revival is asking the Lord to do just that. In Revelation 2-3, people often do not see that this is a hidden and yet open element of what God is revealing here. Often we miss the subtle meanings found in scripture. This next part of the prayer brings this out. Lord Jesus, you hold the seven stars in your right hand and you stand among the seven golden lamp stands. Today remember our deeds, hard work, perseverance, our unwillingness to tolerate false teachers and prophets. Remember our hardships and how we have grown weary. Revive us and reward the over comer today and give them the tree of life in the paradise of our God. Of course in the messages to the churches there is the promise to the overcomer. Let us be overcomers today in prayer.
