 May 20 - Vignettes on Prayer

 

     For the next eight snap shots on prayer I want to share with you a prayer that I developed based on Revelation two and three.  It is a prayer that I pray every week.  I give the Lord all the glory for what He reveals through this prayer.  Dear Heavenly Father, forgive us for forgetting you and not staying to our first love.  Forgive us for wrong teaching and sexual immorality.  For tolerating usurpers, false prophets, being misled, idolatrous, unwilling to repent, and adulterous.  Lord forgive us for learning satan’s secret ways, spiritual darkness and being lethargic.  We have little strength, are lukewarm and spiritually blind. We are rich, increased with good slacking nothing but in reality we are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and lame.  Forgiveness is the key to hearing and knowing God.  God expects his people to be holy but remain holy.  To the pure Lord you show yourself pure.  Let that be our aim today.
