Vignettes on Prayer
Jesus said Matt 22:14, “that many are called but few are chosen.” There are two meanings to this. First, many people are called but few listen. Secondly, you make yourself chosen by listening and responding. Daniel Nash was struck with a serious case of inflamed eyes. For several weeks he had to be kept in a dark room where he could neither read nor write. During this time “he gave himself up almost entirely to prayer. God completely overhauled him and as soon as he was able to see. He began to pray for souls. He began one of the greatest ministries of prayer evangelism recorded in history. This rejected and broken former preacher gave himself to praying for lost souls. Prayer is the highest calling because Jesus is praying for us now. God is looking for another Daniel Nash. Are you Him?
