July 9 - Vignettes on Prayer
The last giant of the faith is most likely the most successful American evangelist of all time. Billy Graham one time held a two month long revival in New York City where hundreds of thousands came to Christ. I myself was involved in the crusade in the city in which I live now back in 1980 where thousands came to Crist. The power behind this was prayer. We attended many prayer rallies during the months prior to the crusade. Billy Graham wrote, “Every man whose life has counted for the church or for the Kingdom of God has been a person of prayer. You cannot afford to be too busy to pray. A prayerless Christian is a powerless Christian.” I think this sums up the importance of prayer. So today pray and become a powerhouse for God.
