July 14 - Vignettes on Prayer

July 14 - Vignettes on Prayer

The following vignette is the number one problem people do not have their prayers answered.  Listen to what Jesus says in Mark 11:25, “And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.”  Prayer must be made a forgiving heart.  God refuses to listen to the person who has the audacity and hypocrisy to take upon themselves the task of judging others.  This is a task which He alone can justly and impartially do.  When you do not forgive you have become, judge, jury and executioner.  Unforgiveness robs us of so many blessings.  It makes you nurse, rehearse an offense and eventually curse the person who did it.  The task of prayer is to help us to immediately forgive when offended.  To keep an offense means you will not have your prayers answers.  Simply put forgive and you will be forgiven.  Forgive and your prayers will be answered.
