Faith plus prayer

Well it is the day after Christmas and we have just celebrated the birth of our Savior. I love the scripture Heb 13:8, which states that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. That means He does not change. What He did back in the days when He was on earth He will do the same today. Jesus as you know was filled with compassion,. He went about doing good and He always dis the will of the Father. This should be a pattern for our lives as well.

The secret of Jesus doing the will of the Father was His outstanding prayer life. So many times in the gospels it states that Jesus would stay up all night to pray. He also prayed before major events. If Jesus saw the need for extensive prayer times how much more should we. Prayer was the conduit in which Jesus receive what He needed from the Father. In the same way we receive what we need when we pray. Divine resources are released when we pray. Everything we need for abundant life comes through prayer. The Bible has been called food for the soul and prayer water for the Spirit. I have discovered you cannot pray enough. Prayer can accomplish anything because God can. Prayer is all powerful because God is all powerful. Recently my family came through one of the most difficult times of our lives. I do not know if we could have made it without prayer.

So David as we begin this new day. I encourage all who are reading this to pray. Pray often and with faith. Faith is the substance of things hope for and the evidence of things not seen. Prayer is the conduit in which faith works here on earth.

So today let us pray. If Jesus needed it how much more do we.
