Jan 12 – Devotion on Ephesians

Jan 12 – Devotion on Ephesians

12 in order that we, who were the first to put our hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory.

In Vs 12, Paul reveals two truths about our destiny in life. In the Lord, we will find the true destiny to which we have been called. Satan and sin have corrupted the true purpose and meaning of life. Today most believe that pleasure, pride, and possession are the measure of all things. They are at nest poor substitutes. In time they leave you hollow and unfulfilled. Through Christ we have hope. Hope is the belief that we have a future. In 1 Cor 13:13, Paul reveals that faith and hope have their foundation of God’s love which never fails. So because we have responded to God’s love we have hope in our present which is a gift and our future which is in God’s hand. So we live to praise Him with our lives. That is why we should pray, God in my life be glorified. In Christ, we have the love, grace, kindness, gentleness, mercy, faithfulness, forgiveness, patience, and self-control of God. We are His hands, feet, and mouth on this planet. We live to show Him in human form. Jesus did that and it should be our aim and goal as well.
