This is the second vignette on why God would not hear your prayers. Solomon writes in Prov 1:28, “Then they will call to me but I will not answer; they will look for me but will not find me.” This happens because of our indifference. When we become cold and non responsive to God He will not hear what we pray. The second cause is neglect of mercy. Listen to what Solomon states in Prov 21:13, “Whoever shuts their ears to the cry of the poor will also cry out and not be answered.” So look after the poor and infirmed. James says true religion s taking care of the widows and orphans. This shows you have God’s heart and your prayers will be answered.
