Aug 10 – Gifts of Faith and Healing – 1 Cor 12:9
9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit.
Paul then reveals two companion gifts. These gifts when working together have a powerful impact. The gift of faith is not something that s grown like saving faith. This gift is the ability to believe and act upon supernaturally in a moment of time. It is belief that God can and will do exactly what He says. It is trusting in God’s ability, promises and truth in the moment you pray and enact what is needed.
The gift of healing needs the gift of faith to dispense what is needed in all physical, spiritual, emotional, intellectual, family, and financial realm. Healing is given when the receiver needs the Lord’s touch and mercy. Healing can be immediate or progressive. This usually has to do with physical need but is often expanded into other realms because mankind is complex but so is God’s provision.
