April 15, Devotion on Ephesians
Eph 5:7: Therefore do not be partners with them.
In Vs 7, Paul gives a simple warning and exhortation. Do not partner with them. Do not approve, agree or tolerate what they say and how they live. That which is flesh is flesh and that which is spirit is spirit. Oil and water do not mix. You are in the light and they are in the dark. Love does not condemn but it also does not condone evil. Evil and good and will never mix. Evil always demands recognition and protection. Sin will always take you where you thought you would never go, it will make you do things you never thought you would do and make you into a person you never thought you would be. You have left darkness for light. Never agree to approve or tolerate evil in any form it will corrupt and destroy you.
