June 22 - Vignettes on Prayer
In Zechariah 7, this portion shows what can happen when a person becomes religious in outlook at their relationship with God. Christianity can become a religious exercise if you let it. Zechariah warned the people to show compassion, justice and mercy when dealing with another person. We take our Christianity into every facet of life. A person must be what God wants them to be and not allow it to become religious service. When you do not pray this is the first step toward religious service. Prayer keeps our relationship with God fresh and vibrant. You neglect prayer you become weak and religious.
