The Upper Room

The Upper Room – Luke 22:14-30

What is amazing that in the midst of the most meaningful moments of Jesus life a dispute rose among His disciples about who was the greatest among them.  Jesus stopped them and once again taught them about the rules of advancement in the Kingdom of God.

The greatest among us must become a servant.  You are not like the Kings of the earth.  If you want to be great in God’s kingdom you have to be the servant of all.  If you want to be first, you have to learn to be last.  Jesus came as a servant.  He came too served not to be served.  Jesus then said that He has a table in which the disciples will eat and drink later.  Their reward for service will be that they will judge the twelve tribes of Israel.
