THE COMING VICTORY

 

The Coming Victory

 

 

1.    We have been shown a mystery.  We will not all die but we shall be changed.  Vs 51

 

2.    This change in a flash of time, a twinkling of an eye at the last trumpet. Vs 52

 

3.    When this happens the dead will be raised imperishable and those alive then shall be changed.  Vs 52

 

4.    The corruptible or imperishable will be clothed in incorruption and be imperishable.  The mortal will put on immortality.  We will have a body like Jesus made up of flesh and bones.  Vs 53

 

5.    When this happens a powerful statement comes into effect.  Death has been swallowed up in victory.  It has no sting or victory.  Vs 54-55

 

6.    Sin and the law brought about death.  God has given us the victory through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Vs 56

 

7.    Four Exhortations or applications from this passage.

 

a.    Stand firm.

b.    Let nothing move you.

c.     Always give yourself to the work of the Lord.

d.    Your labor in the Lord will not be in vain.
