This is my
second article on how to be a giant killer or win over the giants in your
life. We are using the example of David. David went from shepherd boy to giant killer
because he saw that no one else was stepping up to the plate. So next to win or slay the giants in your
life you must be committed despite criticism.
People are always going to find fault and reasons to slander you. I love this one quote don’t let what people
say stop you. Let your success speak for
itself. David knew he could do it
because he had confidence not in himself but in His God. He had divine help and we do if we trust in
God first.
David also was
ready to point out to God’s history of faithfulness. If God has come through in the past He will
come through again. David had defeated a
lion and a bear so he could defeat this giant.
You never have a testimony unless you have a test. You will never have a message if you don’t
have a mess. Confidence is knowing you
made it through one crisis, and you will make it through this one.
Thirdly, David
was comfortable with his gifts and personality.
David had grown to a place where he knew what he could and could not
do. He also had confidence in both his
natural and spiritual abilities. David
knew he could throw a rock with deadly accuracy. He had been practicing for years. That is why he went against Goliath with just
a sling and five stones. Experience and
practice are great teachers. The people
who climb the rock faces of Yosemite practice their rock-climbing skills day
after day. They do physical and mental
training. It has enabled them to climb
what seems impossible cliffs with ease and skill. David knew what he could do and he knew that
with divine help all things are possible do you?
