ABRAHAM

 

     Abraham was a complex man and had many faces.  He was a man of faith, a father of nations, a deceiver and a man who believed God’s promises.  He was a man of obedience he went where he was to where God wanted him to be.  Abraha, was unselfish.  He gave the best of the land to his nephew Lot.  He was a man of courage.  He rescued the inhabitants of Sodom and Gomorrah. 

     Abraham was a giver.  He gave a tithe to Melchizedek.  He was mighty in prayer.  He prayed for people who were facing judgment.  He was a man of faith and God accounted to him as righteous.  All Abraham had was a promise from God, but he took that promise and made a new life and we can as well. 

     Through Abraham all nations have been blessed.  Three major religions claim him as their own.  He followed God’s call and so must we. When you do like the old army phrase, “there is no life like it.”
