Seven Benefits of Salvation
1. Through Jesus we have deliverance from
enemies (Luke 1:71,74; 1 John 5:18) 1
John 5:18 NKJV - We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who
has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him.
2. Through Jesus we receive mercy from God.
Titus 3:4-6 NKJV - But when the
kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, 5 not by works of
righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us,
through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, 6 whom He
poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior.
3. Through Jesus we are justified by
faith. Galatians 3:6-15) Just as Abraham "believed God, and it
was accounted to him for righteousness."
7 Therefore know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham. 8
And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith,
preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying, "In you all the nations
shall be blessed." 9 So then those
who are of faith are blessed with believing Abraham.
4. Through Jesus we have peace with God
Romans 5:1-2 NKJV - Therefore,
having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus
Christ, 2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we
stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
5. Through Jesus we have holiness and
righteousness
Ephesians 4:24 NKJV - And that you
put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness
and holiness.
6. Through Jesus we are reconciled to
God
Colossians 1:20 NKJV - And by Him to
reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in
heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.
7. Through Jesus we have light and guidance
1 John 1:7 NKJV - But if we walk in
the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the
blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.
