March 10 – Proverb 28:13 -
The writer
continues with his pattern of proverb thought.
He states that the person who conceals his sin will not prosper. Sin hinders the benefits and blessing of God
and enables the devil, world and the flesh to rule a life. Sin will always take you where you don`t want
to go. It will make you do things you
never thought you would do. Make you
into a person you never thought you would be.
The way to deal with sin is to bring to the light. Expose it. 1 Jn 1:9 states that if we confess
our sins, the Lord is faithful and just to forgive our sins and cleanse us from
all unrighteousness.
The second
part of the verse is a powerful truth.
It you confess your sins and renounce them you will find mercy from the
Lord. This is salvation at its most
basic level. God wants to extend mercy
to you all you have to do is your part.
Like the prodigal you have your Father in heaven waiting to restore
you. Come to yourself. Come back to the Father and receive full
restoration. Make that your aim today
not only for yourself but those in your world.
