The Lord your builder – Nine
The Lord is
the builder of His church and the gates of hell will not prevail against
it. The church however is not a building
but a people. We are a chosen
generation, a royal priesthood and a holy nation. The church was compared to a building by the
apostle Paul in 1 Cor 3:9 as Christ as the builder. He is building a people of power and a people
of praise. Our job is to glorify and
praise His name.
As His people
we need to remember that Christ is the chief cornerstone of this people. He is the one that keeps us on the straight
and narrow. He is the foundation on which
our lives must be built. If we build our
lives on any other foundation than Christ when the storms of life come we will
not stand but fall.
The church is
a living body made up of many parts. Each
part must contribute to the whole or the body will be weak. Jesus Christ is the head of the church and all
things have been put under His feet. One
day every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is
Lord. If we do not do it now we will do
it later.
The Lord
wants you to know that we are His ambassadors.
He makes His people a force to be reckoned with. We will when we walk not by might, nor by
power but by the Spirit of the Lord. So
today, remember who you are in Christ and who Christ is in you. He is the hope of glory. Remember it is not about you but about
Him. We can do nothing without Him. All our works are wood, hay and stubble. When works are done in His name and for His
glory, they are gold, silver and precious stones. Remember that as you go through this day
working for Him.
