Don`t be surprised

     Don`t be surprised when people lie, gossip and persecute you.  Do not think it strange when you are under attack and that a fiery trial has come your way.  Peter and Jesus warned us about it.  We are living in a day when that which is right has become wrong and that which is wrong has become right.  Anyone who stands for truth or the Lord is going to be attacked.  In a morally bankrupt society like the one we currently live in it will be taxing to stand for truth.  You will be called, behind the times, a bigot or hater because you disagree with sinful behavior.  We live in a time where everyone does what is right in their own eyes.  So when you stand for the truth you will be attacked.  

     There are three things you must do.  First, you must stay under the banner of the Lord`s protection.  He promised that He would never leave you or forsake you.  Remember with the Lord for you, who can be against you.  Stay in His perfect will.  To stray from it in times like this is just asking to be destroyed.    

     Secondly, stay and stand on God`s word.  A day is coming when this book is going to be outlawed or called hate literature.  Even now political leaders are telling Christians that they have to change the bible to bring it up to the times we are living in.  Someday a judge or human rights tribunal will call this book hate literature and it will be outlawed.  Stand upon, thus says the Word of the Lord.  Today many are turning away from this book but do not because every man may be a liar but the word of God is true.  Remember that.  The word is your defensive and offensive weapon.

     Lastly, you must be a person of prayer.  You need the strength, anointing, empowerment, authority, clarity and boldness that only prayer can bring.  Tell Jesus all your trials, troubles and needs.  He will hear and do more than you could ask or imagine.  Prayer can do the impossible because God can do the impossible.  These three will keep you in this evil day. 

     So don`t be surprised when friends and family attacked, or abandon you.  Remember He who holds out to the end will receive a crown.  Claim yours and stand strong.
