April 4 – Famine - Isaiah 19:5-10
One of the
time-tested ways of God’s judgment is natural disasters. Egypt will face a drought. The results will be rivers, streams, lakes,
and ponds will dry up. Fields will yield
no crops. Fisherman and the economy will
collapse. The people and the nation will
face great deprivation. Today natural
disasters instead of being heeded are now blamed on climate change and man’s
influence. God’s judgment is ignored,
and man’s importance and so-called changes mean nothing. In the author’s country the government has
been taxing the population to reduce carbon emissions only to find in the time
they have been doing these emissions have increased. Man’s wisdom is always foolish and
ineffective.
