March 25 – 34:4-5 – I Sought the Lord
This is the last verse of the song from this psalm. I sought the Lord and He heard me. David a 1000 years before Jesus came on the scene tells that if you seek the Lord you will be heard. Jesus said, “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all things will be added unto you.” The promise is when you seek the Lord you will find all the things you are looking for and He will hear you when you pray. Dan 9:23 reminds us that even before we pray the answer is on the way. What great promises.
David reminds us that the Lord will deliver us from our fears. You got a fear God will deliver you. Paul says that God has given us a spirit of fear but love, power and a sound mind. Great promises. David then says that those to look to God will have radiant faces. Like Moses of old we will radiant with the present of the Lord. One time I was sitting on an airplane and a woman said, “You radiant peace.” I said thanks and got to tell her about Jesus Christ. David closes this verse with the fact that those who seek the Lord will never be put to shame. God is going to surround us with His presence, great promises for you today.
