Feb 3 – Psalm 15:5 – Never be Shaken
David closes off this psalm by telling his readers that a godly person will never lend money for usury. This is charging high interest rates. Shows you that Credit Card companies are not of God. Neither are money or loan companies. The Jewish people were required by law to not charge their fellow Jews no interest on loans and when they loaned to the gentiles to charge fair rates of return.
Also the godly will never except a bribe to slander another. Integrity in business is paramount to the Godly. You take your faith is every arena of life. When you do this the promise given here as David closes, is that you will never be shaken. God will give you a stable, abundant and successful life. John prayed in 3 John 2 that we would be in prosperity and health even as our soul prospers. A prosperous life starts from the inside out and with a decision to have a godly lifestyle.
