 Feb 12 – Psalm 18:46-50 – Kindness to His Anointed

 

 

 

     David spends the majority of his time in the last few verses talking about how God gave Him the victory.  David praises the Lord, for God is his refuge and His Saviour.  David has such a strong relationship that God called him a man after His own heart.  What a testimony.  God avenged David and helped him to subdue all the nations around him. 2 Samuel tells about how victories.  God rescued David exalted him above all his foes and rescues him from violent men.  David still had to battle them but God gave him the victory.  You still have to go through the storms and problems of life but God will strengthen, help and protect you.

 

     David would praise the Lord among the nations.  When receiving ambassadors who asked how he was so successful David would tell them it was the Lord.  The Queen of Sheba saw that when she visited Solomon.  The favor of God is a testimony to the unsaved.  David praised the name of the Lord.

 

     David closes off Psalm 18, by saying the Lord gives His king victories.  He showed unfailing kindness to His anointed.  This is your promise today.  God will do the same for you as He did for David because of Jesus Christ.  Now this is not just for David by his descendants as well.  Jesus Christ would fulfill this promise and ultimately to us as well.  Praise God.
