Psalm 167 of Psalms of Steel

Psalm 167

To you oh Lord, do I commit my trust and my heart.
In this moment I ask you to calm and bring them under your control.
The Lord will give perfect peace when we decide to let Him have our minds.
A serene and calm heart is what I need today.  Chaos is near.
Lord give me your joy and peace.

Right now my life is anything but calm.  I am confused.
I have allowed both the circumstances of life and people to unnerve me.
I cry unto you, oh God because I am in confusion and calamity.
Lord rescue me from those that would hurt and harm me.
You alone are my help, strength and victory.

Then the Lord heard the cry of my heart.
In a moment He spoke deep into my heart and said, “Do not be afraid.”
“I will come to you and give you peace.  The war is over.
The battle is mine and I have won the victory,” says the Lord.
No weapon, person, demon or worldly force will defeat you.

I will give thanks to the Lord for His Peace.
I will rejoice for His abounding love.
He is my light, my refuge, my strength and help.
What would I do, if I did not have the Lord.

I would have slipped and fell into defeat.  The Lord is my help.
