The Lesson of Aaron
- Eight
The lessons we
can learn church from Aaron are powerful.
He was a man of complex realities.
He was the brother of one of the greatest and most powerful men of the
Old Testament. He and Moses built a
nation out of a people who knew nothing but slavery. God today wants to use us like Aaron, we help
build a nation changing church. He saw
and knew the power and presence of God which we must have to see the forces of
hell dispelled from our lives and situation.
There are three things that made him valuable to God`s work and you must
have them as well my people. He was
willing to work with other to accomplish a task for God. He along with Hur held up Moses hands until
the victory was one. We must work
together in unity to see the release of the power of God. Ps 133:1 reminds us that when brethren dwell
together in unity it is pleasant and good.
Paul tells us that we are to make every effort to keep the unity of the faith. The devil and those who work with him will do
everything to destroy unity. The church
is called to do everything we can to keep this unity. It will take effort, and hard work to keep it
but only through true unity can we see God`s full work be done. Aaron was made a high priest before the
Lord. We today are kings and priests to
God. We present him in a spiritual way
and we are ambassadors to our physical realm.
When they look at us they should see the kingdom of God. A kingdom of righteous, peace and joy in the
Holy Spirit.
Aaron was a spokesman on behalf of Moses. In the same way we are called to speak on
behalf of the Lord. Egypt which is a
representation of the world is where we speak and act. The secret of speaking in the national world
is having time with the Lord in the supernatural world. Remember those who know their God will be
strong and do exploits. These qualities made him a power house for
God,. Unfortunately Aaron also allowed
others around him to influence his out look.
Under his leadership the people made a golden calf which they
worshipped. This act would exclude Aaron
from the promise land. My people learn
from these examples I have brought to your attention. Be like Aaron who made an impact on his world
and remember I have given you examples from his life which serve as a warning
of what can happen if you listen to others instead of me. I would have you enter into my promised
inheritance instead of being excluded from the land.
