Rejoice

 September 17 - Rejoice - Rev 18:20

 

Vs 20 – Now we get the godly response.  The voice tells the people of God to rejoice, rejoice heavens, rejoice the people of God.  Rejoice apostles and prophets.  It is a time of celebration.  The very face of evil, its ruler, religion, culture, economy and military has been destroyed.  It has come down.  The judgment of God made this happen.  There is nothing good about this empire.  It was the pinnacle of evil.  The unholy trinity ruled it and now God has judged it.  God has judged wit with the same measure that this empire judged the people of God.    The beast was ruthless, relentless, merciless and deadly.  With the same measure he punished he has been punished.  Once again the law of the harvest is in effect.  What you sow you will reap.  If you sow to the flesh you reap to the flesh.  This verse is such a contrast to what had gone on in previous verses.  The ungodly are lamenting over Babylon’s destruction.  The godly are rejoicing.  God has settle accounts.

   You have become the most hated nation in the world and this is because of your ancient worship of demons, idols, slavery, occult, sorcery, witchcraft and myths.  You have murdered, starved, oppressed and terrorized your people.  You're a land of darkness.  A day of judgment is coming for you and you will not survive.  You will become part of the army that I will destroy in the last days.  The same measure that you have judged you will be judged.  You will continue to be judged because of your atrocities and terror.

 

      To the church of North Korea.  I have seen how you have suffered.  You have been persecuted.  You cannot worship openly but you have been strong.  You are mighty in prayer and strong in evangelism.  You have work in secret and been true to my word.  You have been wise and creative.  I have seen your struggle.  You have endured persecution and death.  You are mighty in me and I will give you a great last days revival.  I have five promises with you.  I will make you grow in the grace and knowledge of me.  Secondly, I will give you the garment of praise and the oil of joy for mourning.  You have suffered much and will receive a crown of rejoicing.  Thirdly, I will give you an abundant and radiant life.  You will prosper in me and your light will shine in the dark land you live.  Fourthly, I will give your sonship.  You will be my daughters and sons in my glorious inheritance.  Lastly, I will give you victory.  You have suffered much but you will have great victory.  There is a great revival coming.  It will be underground but it will touch many young people.  There is a hunger for reality.  People are starving physically and spiritually and you will see that fulfilled in me.  Great and exciting days are ahead for you my persecuted, glorious people.

Vs 19 -  So the people who earn their living on the oceans and seas will throw dust on their head and lament over the loss of Babylon.  The world has lost its empire and champion.  All that the world represented was found in this city and empire.  The power, authority, might dominion, will and creativity of man was on display.  This is the pinnacle of mankind.  The technology, the culture, military, economic was this empire.  Now it is gone.  They cry woe, woe, woe, all the ships on the sea became rich because of her wealth.  They were transporting cargo and good for this empire and in one quick time period it is gone.  A lesson to learn is that nothing last forever and that the things of this world are temporary and can be gone in a moment.

    I have several things I have to address to you today.  Things that have caused you to have judgments placed upon you.  First, you were a nation of slavery for generations.  Next, you were involved in smuggling and piracy.  You also allowed within your borders Islam and this has caused a division in your land.  In the past, you followed Nri and Aguleri, where the Igbo creation myth comes from.  You came up with your own version of how society started.  You also followed demons, witchcraft, sorcery, idol and ancestral worship.  The consequences have been civil war, poverty, disease, famine, aids, and various plagues.

     On the positive side, you have come to me in the greatest revival that ever came to the continent of Africa.  I sent you my missionaries and evangelists and you have become the most populous Christian nation of your continent.  This has caused you to become the most powerful nation in Africa.  I will give you health, prosperity, and abundance if you continue ti turn to me.  In the future, however, there will be a fight for spiritual power in your country.  In those days it will be your intercessors and prayer warriors who need to be strong and they will defeat the forces of hell.  Your pastors and church leaders will rise and do warfare.  In those days I will send my angels and you will defeat the forces of hell.  The next move of God will happen among your young people.  You have the largest group of young people in your part of the world.  I will bring a revival upon them and they will move my church into a new era of evangelism, missions and church planting.  They will be fearless, relentless and people of faith.  Great days are ahead for my church.  You have little time to organize and pursue an agenda of urgent evangelism.  Time is limited so move quickly my people.
