NO EXCUSES
Paul is a man
who writes to the point. He tells people
that when you forget God there is consequences.
Paul also states that the gospel shows God’s love and
righteousness. Man ignores God’s moral
law to our own peril. God has given us
free will but with those choices come consequences. God reminds us we are not getting better whereas
the humanist thought is that we are getting better everyday,
Paul makes it
clear that God has given us two silent witnesses creation and conscience both
are saying there is a God. Unfortunately,
the church in some quarters has given a bad view of God. He is either all grace or all law. Forgetting that God is both and is temper by
what Jesus did on the cross. We have an
adversary who wishes to supress the truth, yet Jesus came to destroy the works
of the devil.
God has made
it abundantly clear that no one will have an excuse. Conscience and creation forbid it. Inside us a voice is crying out for a hearing
and creation shows the work of a great designer. You can ignore them, but they are still evidence. A long time ago Paul says they knew Him as God
but did not honor Him.
Paul was very
clear about why mankind is the way we are, and he also revealed how we can
reconnect with God through Jesus Christ.
Jesus is the bridge between God and man.
We profess to be wise these days but the reality we are quote
foolish. The loss of God leads to
situational ethics. What the situation
is the ethics. Whoever has the loudest
voice or the worldly arguments gets a hearing.
I am so
grateful that God is not finish with mankind yet. Even now He is moving by His Spirit many
Muslim countries God is pouring out His Spirit, and many are coming to
Christ. It may look dark today but the
light is starting to shine even brighter.
Don’t fall into the traps of the world.
Stay focus and ready for Jesus is coming back soon.
STAND FOR TRUTH
Today we
live in a time where that which is wrong is right and that which is right is
wrong. It is backwards today. It is called cancelled culture. Paul lived in a similar time. The Roman Empire was corrupt and
immoral. The reason is for man to be the
way they are is because they have forgotten about God and God has given them up
to their sin. He still calls but many
today have their eyes and ears darkened.
Our consciences have become seared.
Even worse many don’t even believe in a creator.
We live in a
time where man creates his own image of God or dismisses God completely from
their lives of course at their peril. The
reality we are reaping what we sow. It
is evident that Canada is being judged.
Paul calls this condition the reprobate mind. We have changed the meaning of many vices and
now call them virtues. One thing for
sure as soon as you tolerate sin, next you permit it, promote it and then
persecute those who call it sin.
Today we are
facing cancel culture and woke ideology.
Truth is suspect and feelings mean more than righteousness. This is the time that people stand for truth
and demand that truth be heard. It comes
with a price. Love joy and peace are
principles of the Kingdom of God and once again must be proclaimed. The bible says where sin abounds the grace of
God is greater. We must show grace and
love but refuse to bow to the liars of this world. Stand up for truth even if you stand alone.
Oct 3 – New Jerusalem - Isaiah 8-12
Oct 3 – New Jerusalem - Isaiah 8-12
This passage has a reference to both the
natural and supernatural realm. The
prophet talks about those that fly in the air.
He is talking both about the birds but also the angelic realm. The promise here is that there will be many
means and method to return children back to worshipping the Lord. They will honor and worship Him. They will be endowed with splendor as the
Lord is.
Jerusalem will once again have favor and
compassion. Foreigners will rebuild its
walls and kings will serve you. This is
also a prophecy about the Messiah. The
gates will never shut. The wealth of the
nations and the rulers will come to this place.
Any nation or ruler that does not serve the sovereign and His capital
will perish. This is prophecy and
picture about New Jerusalem and the reign of the Messiah.
THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
The way you can
tell a person is growing in the Lord is they are getting smaller in their own
esteem. Unless we are willing to
decrease the Lord will never increase in our lives. No matter how hard the stars try to shine
they will always fade away when the morning light breaks. We will never truly shine until the full
light of God is breaks through in our lives.
No matter how you try to insulate yourself from trouble it always
comes. The best defense is to trust the
Lord and learn from the experience so you do not have to
go through it again.
Here is one simple truth. You will go through the same thing over and
over till you learn from it Humility will always break a proud spirit. On the path of sorrow and pain it is so sweet
to hears the word of the Savior, “I am with you.” The greatest statement you can ever make is,
“I am a disciple of Jesus Christ.” The
world shudders and heaven rejoice. The
word’s, “fear not,” are repeated in the Bible for one reason is because it is
the only way to break the Spirit of fear.
You want to break fear in your life then focus on God and fear will
flee.
NEVER GIVE UP
A basketball
coach once told his players on the first day of camp it is not how well you
play but how long it takes you to recover.
There are people who are persistent.
The doctor’s report, the pink slips, a car breakdown. They don’t just panic they seem to rise to
the occasion. They say okay this is bad,
but I can rise above it.
Leo Tolstoy wrote
War and Peace five times until he got it right.
Ernest Hemingway wrote A Call to Arms 50 times unto he was satisfied
with the finished product. Greatness is
not measured in talent but tenacity.
There is a
wonderful promise given to the overcomer.
To be an overcomer you have to have something to overcome. I have a poster in my office of a frog being swallowed
by a stork and the frog has his hands around the bird’s throat. It says never give up.
I was talking
to a fellow yesterday that said never ask for patience because Paul stated in
Romans that only tribulation works patience.
So here is a thought when trials come and they will come. Ask the Lord for wisdom, tenacity and an
overcoming spirit.
