June 4 - Prophesy again - Rev 10:11
June 4 - Prophesy again - Rev 10:11
Vs 11 – John is now commissioned. He is to prophesy or be a herald for the
Lord. He is told that he has been
reactivated. At this moment he was on
the island of Patmos but he obviously would be released and he primarily
responsibility was again to tell others.
The island he was currently on was not his last stopping point before
going on to glory.
The
scope of his mission has a fourfold emphasis.
This book, message and revelation would be first universal. People from every race, creed and color would
be the recipients of this message. No
people group was to be missed. All
mankind need to hear this word. Next, nations. Jesus said the gospel was to be preached in
all nations. This book would be read in
every nation for generations. It would
bring hope, fear, awe and amazement. No
nation would be missed no people group left behind. Thirdly, languages. There are 6500 languages and the Bible has
been translated into 698. The New
Testament has been translated into 1548 at the writing of this commentary. There are still thousands of languages this
message must be translated. John began
the work it is ours to finish it.
Lastly, it is to be presented to kings and leaders throughout the
world. They must know the consequences
of their decisions. They must make sure
they are not the agents of evil but of truth.
They must be aware that kings and nations will be judged on how they
conduct themselves before the Lord. All
mankind must be aware of what is about to happen. Ignorance does not have to be a factor. They can know the truth and the truth can set
them free.

June 2 - Take it - Rev 10:8
June 2 - Take it - Rev 10:8
Vs 8 – So John is instructed by the voice in
heaven to go and take the scroll from the hand of the angel. John would be given the privilege of
interacting with this incredible heavenly being. He must be been a little scared and yet
excited. To have the privilege of being
a witness to this incredible sight must have been overwhelming and yet amazing. A normal person would be fearful. Yet the majesty, beauty and love of this
being would have been reassuring. Angels
are creatures, of purity, power and majesty.
Yet they also possess love, grace, empathy and kindness. They possess all the qualities of the one who
made them. This angel as mighty as he
was open his hand willingly to the man of God.
You see as powerful as they are angels are ministering spirits sent to
work on behalf of mankind.

June 1 - Mystery of God - Rev 10:7
June 1 - Mystery of God - Rev 10:7
Vs 7 -
In the days when the seventh angel is about to sound his trumpet. There will be a blast, a signal throughout
the heavens and the earth. God’s will is
about to be done in heaven as it is on earth.
The mystery of God will be accomplished.
What is the mystery of God. Well,
there are three thoughts. First Paul
states that it is gentile and Jew have been brought into the family of
God. Secondly it has to do with the
wonderful opportunity to know Christ.
Paul had stated that he only wanted to know Christ and Christ
crucified. The last thought is that we
have the resident Holy spirit living in us and He takes that which he hears and
passes unto us. This is all given during
the days of grace. In the tribulation
period salvation is still offered but during this time it means a death
sentence. Any person giving their lives
to Jesus Christ which be living under the total domination of the
anti-christ.
The
mystery of God is a wonderful gift given to this generation. It was something talked about by the prophets
but has be made full now. The prophets
spoke about it but they did not experience as we who are living now. They saw like a glass darkly. We now have the full revelation.
