July 23 – Three
Promises – Psalm 91:15
What a great psalm this is. David again reminds his readers that there
are three wonderful promises
in this
verse. The Bible is full of compact and
powerful promises. Each verse delivers
power pack truth.
First, the
Lord will answer all who call on Him.
James 4:2, reminds us that we have not because we ask
Not. Prayer is asking God for His will to be done
and then seeing it done. Prayer is the
most powerful
Force in
the universe because God Himself is backing it.
Next, the Lord will be with His children
in the midst of trouble. This verse says
we will not be free
From
trouble but the Lord will be with us.
Jesus was with the disciples in the storm. The fourth man
was with
the three Hebrew boys in the furnace.
Rom 8:28, says all things work together for good is does
not say
all things are good. The reality is
trials and problems are actually good for us in the long run.
They make
us trust, grow, learn and be more resourceful.
Lastly, The Lord will deliver and honor
those who trust Him. What a great
promise. When the trial is
Over God
will honor you. He will shout your
victory to all of heaven. You will be
rewarded for your
Faithfulness
and obedience. So if you ever wonder
like Peter and ask what is in it for me, you now
know.
